Exuberant Flower Garden

When an existing client moved to a new home and garden, she found that she was unable to access much of her garden in her wheelchair. The view out of the kitchen window was of the drive and a sea of grass. Using a series of radii we created a strong structure of paths to allow her to immerse herself in the exuberant planting that she and her husband love. A ‘rabbit hole’ crab apple tunnel frames the view from the kitchen table and plays with perspective to elongate the view into the flower garden.

“Working with Kate on a new garden design is an exciting and collaborative relationship. Kate quickly understood our taste, palette and vision and when necessary gently persuaded us of changes which improved the garden no end. We have enjoyed our new garden for four years now and look forward to seeing it flourish for many years to come”.
